Alice Farrington, Sonja Burniston and Luke Wade have worked alongside and creatively admired each other for years. They are playful artists and experimenters who often muse on the hues of human existence and intimacy. They recently established the Artists Against Art group in an attempt to love art separate from capitalist motivation and to play more in their practices.
This open house will be their first time exhibiting work together.
They will show a selection of works each. This will include what they have done before; digging out the unseen or deemed imperfect etchings, photos or experiments of their archives/drawers. They will also bring new works and ideas that excite them right now, crossing over with each other in impromptu collaborations.
Expect maximalist hung walls of etchings, screenprints, strange little curiosities and analogue photographs.
Other excellent elements include; portrait making station, badges, prints and zines for sale and most importantly – Theopolitans Pizzas will be making a limited supply of slices, hand made and cooked in the garden!
