I produce wheel thrown stoneware pottery, functional and decorative, tactile and comforting.

I encourage the clay to form itself into curves which sit comfortably in the hand and are pleasing to the eye.

Surface decoration is often inspired by the local grassy landscape, or ancient geometric patterns. I also like to layer glazes to create a decorative finish.

I like to leave the ‘throwing rings’, a natural result of the hand throwing process and a welcome texture for the glaze to infiltrate and express itself.

Every piece is as individual as we are.
