The Lost Sound Project makes site specific music using field recording, environmental sounds and the spoken words of participants.

Sounds are manipulated using samplers and defunct rack mount studio FX hardware from the 90’s. Much of the equipment has been circuit bent, confusing the RAM chips and creating unique musical sounds and loops from non musical sources. No instruments, synthesisers, drum machines or sample packs are used.

The resulting sonic palette is woven into music and ambient textures to create a hypnotic immersive soundscape.
