I love the idea of functional art, it’s incredibly rewarding making objects that I know people will use every day.
Working with clay can be an incredibly meditative, relaxing and satisfying experience for me which is why I enjoy it so much.
I’m drawn to clean forms and smooth textures which feel soft in the hand.
I love paying attention to details; how a cup feels when you hold it, how a bowl stacks, how two surfaces meet. These details are important to me, and I think they matter to the person using the piece too.
My aim is to create simple, well-made objects that fit into everyday routines and make them a little easier and more enjoyable.
