Peta Jacobs creates playful and illusory mixed-media artworks that offer visual and visceral experiences of difficult quantum questions raised by an exploration of the nature of light.
She uses optical materials that are more commonly found in laboratories to explore quantum questions of simultaneity, the entangled relationship of subject and object, hidden orders of wholeness, uncertainty and the edges of becoming where particles and anti-particles flicker in and out of being.
