Sophie Alda is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and maker working primarily in clay, paper, paint, and print. Her practice spans functional design, decorative objects, and fine art pieces—crafted with a distinctive, playful approach to colour and texture.
Lyn Ang is an architect and ceramicist whose dualistic approach allows for the work of one discipline to inform the other. The ceramics are wheel thrown, small batch, artisanal and thematic. Each batch is conceived of as a miniature architectural exploration of finish, form and functionality. Her focus is on simplicity of form, derived through a process of reduction to what is necessary, functional and elegant – the making of objects that are pleasing to hold and use. She graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. After fourteen years of industry experience in London, Lyn founded Piquant Collective Architects in 2019. She lives and works in Bristol.
